Product Management Senior Supervisor

Purpose of this role:

 

Product Management Function is to develop new products according to Product Management Strategy and market trend in order to meet product’s KPI in terms of profitability, customer’s and distribution’s satisfaction.

Product Management Associate Manager is responsible for product development & product launching and all activities related to products.

The job holder is to carry out various aspects of product development, product implementation and product intelligence to ensure the quality of product development and product launching smoothly as required.

Main Responsibility

Key Result Area

Perform all of the following tasks, as required by the line manager:

1.      Product proposition

a.      Market intelligence and product design

·        Tracking of competitor movement and market intelligence, update regular to PDC and ensure that our products are among the best-in-class and.

·        Support product surveys (e.g. focus groups, sales meeting, etc.) on new product ideas and existing product to make sure that product reflect market’s needs and meet sales force’s expectations.

·        Work with the marketing team to gather customer feedback.

·        Propose ideas/design for new product and discussion with related stakeholders, ensure that the products have the right balance of benefits between customers, distributors and shareholder.

·        Work with related stakeholder (e.g. Actuary, Reinsurers,…) to propose new product design to PDC and prepare Product concept feasibility design.

b.      Product launching

·        Coordinating and work closely with DTD to prepare adequate training for new products and enhancements/update for existing products.

·        Work with MKT to prepare selling materials (e.g Brochure, Leaflet, Website content,...)

·        Work with marketing team/DTD on creative ways to sell/position our products to sales.

·        Support in conducting product training to AT/sales force and support all administrative matters related to the product launch events to ensure smooth product launch.

c.      Product post launching

·        Give post launch support to all functions such as Distribution, Training, Operation,...

·        Support department head to develop and manage performance model for product portfolio with the analysis of product performance both qualitative and quantitative.

2.      Product development

a.      System implementation

·        Prepare product materials (product guideline, product kick-off presentation) to start the product implementation process.

·        Prepare all system requirements documents and coordiate with relevant stakeholders (OP, Actuary) in completing the full set of system requirements for new products.

·        Coordinate with IT and related departments for implementing new products in system.

b.      Regulation submission

Coordinate with related department (Legal, Actuary, Operation, CX, Compliance,...) in preparing documents submissions materials.

3.      Others

·        Conduct regular PDC meeting.

·        Support line manager in ad-hoc project as required from time to time.

·        Actively study towards a recognised insurance qualification (FLMI- LOMA).

1.     Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of working documents/results on product side to manager

2.     Maintaining of adequate documentation and procedures notes and integrity of user development applications (Product Guidelines, Product Intelligence, Product filings to MOF, UAT results)

3.     Effective coordinate with staff of other departments (IT, OP) to ensure the new product implementation in system is in order

4.     Effective coordinate with related departments (DTD,MKT,..) to ensure smooth new product launch and post product launching

 

Qualification and Experience Requirement

·       University Graduates, preferable business analysis,

 

·       2 -  3 years experience specifically in insurance product development and product proposition

 

·       Good command of written and spoken English

·       Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

·       Organizational ability and analytical skill

·       Ability to work with people of different levels and functions (especially Operations, IT).

·       Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, especially Excel.
